Well I write this as the snow falls in Wisconsin. Hopefully you are somewhere warm or with family!
Thank you so very much to Deb Ritter with the assistance of Alison Tatlow in publishing our latest edition of the Eagle’s Cry. We also want to thank all the contributors of articles and pictures. It is twenty pages and your printed copy will arrive shortly, but if you just can’t wait you can view it online in a cool color format. Click on the link below, or go to the site.

I am truly sorry I never thought to send this sooner, with summer prep and the excitement going on, well ya know!
But better late than never, here is a blog (ships log) from our friend & former Commodore John Peterson, his first mate Deanna and sons Isak & Stefan chronicling their trip this summer on Charrette in Lake Superior. A wonderful read! We missed them but can live a bit vicariously through them now. We welcome them back and look forward to some great sailing and racing in 2009!

Well, the clubhouse has quieted and many have departed but the EYC is seeing some action. The ladies are playing Bridge and there are still some boats on the dock.
We had an opportunity with Olivia Demarinis to have a staff member available to keep the place in order and be on call for members. We have one Club F/S and one FJ available on shore stations for club members as long as they can work it out with Olivia. You must be confident to take a boat out by yourself and please be prepared as winds this time of year can be eratic. You may not take a club boat out without her approval and the club safety boat is only for her or emergency use.
If you need something at the club or want to take a boat out call Olivia at 920-421-1662.
Although we will shut everything but the clubhouse down after Labor Day, we will leave the hoists up until the usual time for private boats.
Thank you to everyone for a fantastic season, we will all be busy in the off-season preparing for 2009 and the FS NAC’s!
